Sponsor a Counselor Program

Summer church camp is a wonderful opportunity for kids to experience God while learning more about being a follower of Jesus and the scriptures. Woodland Altars staffs one Christian counselor for every five kids who attend camp. Some churches send counselors but very few campers. Other churches send many campers, but very few counselors. When a church does not send a counselor for every five campers it is very difficult to provide the leadership necessary. Your Outdoor Ministries Commission is offering two options to bridge that gap by providing salary for a paid Christian counselor for one week. 

$350.00 is a small price to pay when you might impact a child's life for eternity!

Congregational Sponsors: Will your congregation help meet the challenge of providing a Christian counselor for one week of summer camp? Just $350.00 will pay one week of salary for a qualified Christian Counselor. Please consider this a challenge that would be above and beyond the self-allocations you are already contributing to Outdoor Ministries. 

Individual sponsors: Many folks would like to be summer camp counselors but are unable to get away for a week. Now you can fill the role of a counselor by providing the salary of a full-time camp counselor for that week. For a contribution of $350.00 you help Outdoor Ministries provide qualified leadership for one week, giving campers an excellent experience at summer camp.
