Gimbiya Kettering
 
As Director of Intercultural Ministries with the Church of the Brethren, Gimbiya Kettering provides intercultural competency trainings, facilitates conversations about ethnicity and race, and teaches practices of multicultural hospitality for denominational leaders and congregations. Her work includes perspectives about the Scriptural response to displaced peoples and immigration, history of race in America, contemporary reflections on social justice, and the impact of German ethnicity on our denomination. In addition to being Brethren, Gimbiya identifies as a biracial woman, third-culture kid, and part of a multiracial, multinational family. She lives in Washington, DC but her roots are also in Ohio.
