Nathan Hosler is the Director of the Church of the Brethren’s Office of Peacebuilding and Policy based in Washington, DC. In this capacity, he works on a range of policy and peacebuilding issues. In 2012, he co-initiated the Going to the Garden initiative which worked to support and encourage community-based gardening projects. In addition to supporting local efforts of addressing food security these projects work for environmental, indigenous, racial justice aiming to connect local work with regional or national advocacy. He supports the work of the Brethren Creation Care Network and serves on the board of Creation Justice Ministries. He is also a pastor at the Washington City Church of the Brethren in DC and previously worked in northeast Nigeria. He holds a MA in International Relations and a PhD in Theology.
