"Providing out-of-door opportunities for people to encounter Jesus Christ."

Enjoying and caring for God’s creation through camping experiences has long been part of the ministry of our district.  The Outdoor Ministry Commission plans for these experiences for members of our district through a variety of camping and other events. 

We offer a wide variety of summer camps for children and youth as well as retreats for adults.  Each summer camp includes a time of Bible study with persons of demonstrated Christian faith.  Group leaders seek to help each camper have fun while growing in the context of a Christ-centered community.

   1. Spiritual Formation: to help persons grow in faith with Biblically based perspectives.

   2. Ecological Integrity: to be good stewards of God’s creation with an ongoing awareness of environmental issues.

    3. Friendship and Community: to focus on developing leaders in the context of a faith community.
