The Church of the Brethren Annual Conference has assigned responsibility for credentialing set apart ministry to the districts.  This responsibility is carried out by the Ministry Commission.  Interviews with those who are feeling a call to ministry and wish to be licensed are held as well as with those who have completed their educational requirements and wish to be considered for ordination.  The commission also oversees the Training for Ministry program and assists licensed ministers in moving forward with training and education.  Other issues related to ministry, including continuing education, are responsibilities of this commission. 

 New Developments

 An education plan to provide more opportunities for pastors to attain CEU’s. (Scroll down to "Part 2") has been accepted. The commission continues to discuss the subject of mentoring of our licensed ministers. We have looked at other district guidelines for assistance. Dave continues to be a wealth of information.
